While walking back to the train from work I found this slightly broken shelf on the street ready to be thrown out. I immediately picked it up to inspect how bad the damage was and it was in such good shape, I took it home with me to spruce it up. The small wicker shelf just needed some fun colored paint and it would be ready to be used! Since my favorite color is purple, I went looking for a color that would fit my taste. When I found the Benjamin Moore color “Your Majesty” I realized that it matched my favorite color eye shadow, Dahlia by Stila Cosmetics, as well! Sanded the broken end of the shelf so that it wouldn’t be sharp and then I proceeded to paint the entire shelf in purple paint. When it was done I hung it on my wall and stacked it up with wonderful goodies! It now deserves the title of junk to a gem!
